Psalm 125: 1-5
1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.
3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil.
4 LORD, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart.
5 But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be on Israel.
Prayer
Our Heavenly Father, God,
My God is my rock in whom we take refuge. We prostrate before You this misty morning to offer our praise. Your way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven. You are our fortress, high tower, and deliverer. Our souls find rest in You alone and we will not be shaken.
Lord Jesus, thank you for setting an example for us by leaving your footsteps. Help us to imitate Your tenderness and humility. Help us to take up our cross and follow you. We be still and let You be strong in us. We will take Your yoke upon us and lean on You for Your yoke is easy to bear and the burden you give us is
light. When You walk alongside us, we will not be fooled by Satan’s trick or hit by Satan’s flaming darts.
Holy Spirit, let us not neglect our relationship with You, Your gifts, and what God commissions us to do. Come and kindle the flame in our hearts. Give us two glasses of cold water, with one we use it to cool off the feverish society, to bring hope to the vulnerable poor, and to hydrate the wilted souls of the sick. While the other is to irrigate the seed of love in the hearts of our family, colleagues, and friends. There are acceptance and forgiveness in love and love can cover everything; there is no fear in love. Let the water droplets form a rainbow in the light of Christ. Lord, thank you for today which is better than yesterday. Every
day is a new day and every morning is a new beginning.
