Psalm 26: 1-12

1  Vindicate me, LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD and have not faltered.

2  Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;

3  for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.

4  I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites.

5  I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.

6  I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, LORD,

7  proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds.

8  LORD, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells.

9  Do not take away my soul along with sinners, my life with those who are bloodthirsty,

10  in whose hands are wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.

11  I lead a blameless life; deliver me and be merciful to me.

12  My feet stand on level ground; in the great congregation I will praise the LORD.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Lord, who searches the hearts of people. The radiance of Your glory and Your blessed face shine through the thick fog this morning. Fill our cups with Your promises of blessing, peace and protection. Though we are in the midst of global pandemic our faith will not be shaken. We continue to walk in the truth, be upright in all things, and live a godly life. Your love is present wherever we go.

Thank you, Jesus, as God incarnate, You became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. May our home be your holy temple, the place where your glory dwells. May Your precious blood wash away all the filths of our hearts, giving each of us a clear conscience that we can live honestly with abundance of freedom and joy. Help us to living out our faith before others and let them see Jesus in us.

Holy Spirit, You walk softly with God. We confess our thoughts, motives, and desires to you. Test us, try us, examine our hearts and our minds. As we are living in this turbulent society and in the middle of the raging COVID-19 pandemic, help us to stay away from people who are deceitful, hypocrites, and blood thirty, and to build an altar of prayer together with clean hands pure hearts congregation. May Your grace be upon this city and may peace and stability be restored. May the fire of the Holy Spirit come and touch the generation of this era.
