Psalm 54: 1-2, 4,6,7

1  Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.

2  Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.

4  Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.

6  I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, LORD, for it is good.

7  You have delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Our Heavenly Father,

In the morning, we gladly offer You a sacrifice. We trust you sincerely and take refuge in You for You are the mighty Lord who controls the universe and all things. We will praise Your holy name and Your majesty. Even if the earth gives way and the mountains tremble, we will not fear because You are our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

Jesus, our Savior, only You have the power to save! Your name is the only one in all the world that can save anyone. The COVID-19 pandemic, suffering, and diseases are like a roaring lion ready to bear us down and to destroy us. These calamities chase us as if a beast hunting its prey, putting us in harm’s way. Lord, You are our deliverer, rescue us from all our troubles in the nick of time and bring us to safety.

Holy Spirit, in Your mercy, remove the plank from our eyes so that we may see God’s grace. Every action of God toward us involves His grace. The gifts of life and salvation, the energy to receive God’s favor, and the power of the spirit dwelling in us. All of these is due to God’s grace because He is gracious. Let us embrace the grace that God has placed within us, wipe away our tears and gloom, and have a closer walk and a deeper relationship with the Lord daily.
