Psalm 6: 1-10

1  LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.

2  Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am faint; heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony.

3  My soul is in deep anguish. How long, LORD, how long?

4  Turn, LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.

5  Among the dead no one proclaims your name. Who praises you from the grave?

6  I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.

7  My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes.

8  Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping.

9  The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.

10  All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish; they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

Prayer

Faithful and Unchanging loving Heavenly Father,

We want to have an intimate relationship with you by giving you our first moments in the morning. Thank you for letting us rest in your peace by helping us empty out fear and worries brough on by the COVID pandemic. Forgive us that our faith is small, our mind is indecisive and unpredictable. In regret we cried ourselves to sleep for let trusting You. Thank you that your anger lasts a little while, but your kindness lasts for a lifetime.

Lord Jesus, we have not asked for anything in Your name. Now Let us approach Heavenly Father’s throne with confidence to ask for forgiveness, mercy, healing, salvation, and comfort. Help us to stop sinning and grant pardon to our punishment. We cast all of our worries and lay all of our burdens before you because you care for us. Although At night we may cry, but when morning comes, we will celebrate. Hallelujah!

Holy Spirit, comfort us for our bones are in agony. Heal our wounded relationships and free us from groans of pain and distress. Help us not to fall into temptation for material things in the secular world but rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. The Lord will renew our strength and we will soar on wings like eagles. Lord, we commit ourselves today to pursue Your plan for us.
